Overview
This purr-fectly magical game was produced through a five-day jam using Unreal Engine 5, GitHub, Aesprite, and Texture Packer by a team of eight.
Highlights
As Lead Engineer, I followed the creative team's direction and collaborated with the other engineer to architect and implement the game mechanics. I created an simple object pooling system in C++, exposed functionality through an blueprint interface and world subsystem. Laid out the initial project setup, input controls, health system, player and enemy AI for the game.
I also interfaced with other team members to synchronize tasks. Integrated and tested sound and art assets to create a better player experience. I managed and troubleshooted any issues with the team's tech stack.
